A MESSAGE FROM ME
A message from Cara Callaghan
Hello and welcome!
I’m Cara, and I’m really glad you’re here.
If you’ve found your way to my page because your child is struggling with worries, confidence, big feelings, friendships or just finding things a bit difficult at the moment, hopefully I can help.
Children can have a lot going on in their heads, and they don’t always know how to explain it. Sometimes it comes out as anger, tears, worry, shutting down or behaviour that leaves us scratching our heads and thinking, “What on earth is going on?”
I’m a big believer in looking at the child behind the behaviour.
I want to be able to give children a safe space where they can be themselves, talk (when they want to!), make sense of how they’re feeling and, importantly, have a bit of fun along the way.
My approach is warm, practical and creative. I use conversation, activities and creativity to help children understand their emotions, build confidence and develop tools they can actually use in everyday life.
Parents are a huge part of that too. You know your child better than anyone, so I’m not here to tell you how to parent or pretend I have all the answers. I’m here to listen, work alongside you and hopefully make things feel a little easier.
Sometimes children just need a little extra support. It doesn’t mean they’re failing, and it doesn’t mean you’re failing either.
Life can be tricky. For all of us.
My job is to help children feel a little calmer, a little braver and a little more confident in dealing with it – and if I can - I’d love to help.
